The industrialization after liberation. Gwangmyeong-si purchased Gwangmyeong Cave, which had been used as a salted shrimp warehouse for more than 40 years since it was closed in 1972, and transformed it into a historical and cultural tourist attraction in 2011. Gwangmyeong Cave is considered Korea's best cave theme park combining its industrial heritage and cultural value, and the world visited by more than 1 million tourists a year has achieved a miracle of abandoned mines.
After exploring the cave, we are going to Yongin to start the trip to Everland Theme Park.
Everland theme park consists of the five themed areas of Global Fair, American Adventure, Magic Land, Zootopia, and European Adventure. Each zone has a unique decoration and through different themed festival, including Tulip Festival, Rose Festival, Summer Splash, Halloween Festival and so on, you can enjoy this theme park more enjoyable and memorable. Another famous zone is Zootopia that you must see it where spans over an area of 15,000 ㎡ and exhibits 2,000 animals. It is the largest ecological safari world with tours by amphibious car to see 150 animals.
